With KLEFER Group as a partner, Brazil will be one of Men's Pre-Olympics venues

The fight between the men's volleyball teams for a spot in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will pass through Brazil. The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) announced this Wednesday (8) the venues for the Pre-Olympics that takes place in the second half of the year. The competition will visit Brazil from September 30 to October 8, in a location to be defined, and is a partnership between Volleyball World, FIVB, Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) and the KLEFER Group.

“Brazilian fans already have an appointment with their two national teams. In June, we will host a stage of the women's League of Nations, and in the second half, the men's Pre-Olympic. Having the fans by our side will be fundamental in this fight for a place in the Paris Games,” explains Radamés Lattari, acting president of the CBV.

“We will also have all the benefits of hosting a major event like this: job creation, an increase in sports tourism, international projection and boosting the economy of the host city, which we will announce shortly,” adds Lattari.

On the same date as the Brazilian dispute, two other Pre-Olympics will be held in China and Japan. The two countries also host women's qualifying for Paris, from September 16th to 24th - the other takes place in Poland, in the same period. The groups for each venue will be defined on the 17th, in a draw that takes place in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The fight for a medal at the 2024 Olympic Games will bring together 12 teams of each gender. France has its place guaranteed as host country. In the Pre-Olympics, 24 teams will compete for six places – each host will receive eight of the best ranked teams in the FIVB ranking.

Thus, the Brazilian squad can receive teams like Italy and Poland, finalists of the last World Cup; United States, silver in the League of Nations 2022, and Argentina, bronze medalist in Tokyo 2020. The first two of each Pre-Olympics stamp the passport to Paris.
