The failure of the merger was reported by both companies through essential facts published on the page of the Financial Market Commission (CMF), where they indicate that they withdraw from the agreement.
“The parties have agreed not to persevere in the business combination and, by mutual agreement, have terminated the Merger Agreement,” says Enjoy.
The company, apparently, would be the most affected by this announcement, because during the day on Tuesday (11) its shares fell by more than 7%, amid suspicions that the merger would not take place.
"At this date it is not possible to determine the effects that the information may have on the assets, liabilities or results of Enjoy," warns the casino company.
The decision not to persist in the merger of both companies comes at a complex time for the gaming casino industry in Chile, after the National Economic Prosecutor's Office opened an investigation for collusion.
The investigation includes the two aforementioned companies, in addition to Marina del Sol, which would have agreed on the prices to be offered in the tenders of the different casinos throughout Chile.
According to what was published by Diario Financiero, senior managers of different casinos in Chile had a WhatsApp group called "Coord.Temas Industria", where the alleged coordination would have taken place.
