Brazilian basketball website Lakersbrasil.com has been acquired by the French sports gaming media group North Star Network.
Basketball continues to grow in popularity in Brazil, ranking second on the list of favourite sports among Brazilian residents. According to a 2021 Google Sports Study, Google searches in the country for Lakers superstar LeBron James were equal to that of Gabigol, the standout player for Brazilian football team Flamengo.
Lakersbrasil.com, which launched in 2006, focuses on news, features and statistics regarding the LA Lakers in the NBA. Betting odds are also featured on the brand with a list of the best bookmakers to play on and promo codes for players.
