Chamber commission debates regulation of electronic sports with specialists

The Sports Committee of Brazil’s Chamber of Deputies holds a public hearing this Wednesday (24), on the regulation of electronic sports. Deputy Márcio Marinho (Republicans-BA), who asked for the audience, says that, just as previous generations were very interested in sports competitions such as football, current ones also enjoy competitions, however, their preferences focus on the so-called eSports.

The debate will take place this Wednesday (24) at 3:00 pm, in plenary 4.

"With a growing audience of people who can easily access games, it is not difficult to understand why it is increasingly popular to follow and participate in eSports games. The definition of electronic sports as a sport or not is important to define the investment of public resources and also to bring more legal security," says Marinho.
