Pinnacle Cup Brasil is an online CS:GO event organized and hosted by Pinnacle, focusing on Brazilian and South American teams. The tournament will see some of the best CS:GO teams in the region competing for a prize pool of US$25,000, along with a chance to win the coveted title of the first Pinnacle Cup: Champions of Brazil.
The first place will pocket US$ 15,000, with US$ 5,000 for second place and US$ 2,500 for third and fourth.
The event will run from May 23rd to June 6th and the tournament will be streamed live on Twitch and YouTube. In total, 20 teams will compete for the Pinnacle Cup Brasil title, 16 of which will start from the group stage and four will be added for the playoffs.
In the initial phase, the presence of the following teams has already been confirmed: ARCTIC, Boca Juniors, CASE Esports, ex-Corithians Academy, FURIA Academy, HYPE, INTZ, MIBR Academy, O PLANO, ODDIK, paiN Academy, RED Canids, The Union, TropiCaos, w7m Academy and WINDINGO.
The tournament starts with the group stage, in the Swiss system format. A total of 16 teams will face each other, with all matches in the best of three (Bo3). From this stage, the top eight teams advance to the playoffs, while the bottom eight are eliminated from the tournament.
In the playoffs, four additional guest teams will enter the fray, bringing the total to 12. From here on out, it's a single-elimination bracket, with all games being Bo3. All this leads to the final, where the first Pinnacle Cup Brasil champions will be determined.
