Dario Corrêa Filho, president of the OAB Rio de Janeiro Sports Events Commission, will be the mediator of the meeting that will bring together Fellipe Fraga, COO of EstrelaBet; Fernando Paz, head of sponsorships at KLEFER; and João Motta, director legal at Santa Casa Cap, among other market players.
“Our goal is to bring up the discussion of the legal and practical issues that are taking place in sport due to the sports betting exchanges,” said Dario Corrêa Filho to the GMB.
According to him, the OAB could not fail to participate in the debate on a topic that is so relevant at the current moment that Brazil is going through, with discussions on accusations of match-fixing in football.
“It is important to demonstrate to people and lawyers how scholarships work and the responsibilities of the attitudes taken by athletes and by people who use themselves improperly to entertain themselves,” he added.
The event, free of charge, will also address relevant issues, such as the generation of jobs that the activity promotes and taxation for the sector.
It will take place on May 29th, at 6 pm, at the Evandro Lins e Silva Plenary, at Avenida Marechal Câmara, 150 – 4th floor.
