Created in 2017, the Sports Management Institute IGE adopted the theme of governance and integrity as part of its DNA. During that time, he worked for the dissemination of knowledge in several areas of the sports segment.
With an eye on the growing sports betting market in Brazil, with around 450 companies operating in the field, still without regulation, the IGE understands that debates with knowledge on the subject are fundamental for improving the recognition of the sector as a strong economic activity.
By inviting interested parties to the 30-hour online course, the company points out that “the issue of sports betting regulation is very important due to the volume of resources involved, sports sponsorship, social benefits and the taxes generated. However, with the outbreak of Operation Maximum Penalty in the fight against scandalous cases of match-fixing, the matter is urgent.”
“With the regulation, companies will have to operate in Brazil, generating hundreds of jobs. Thus, we created the IGE ‘Sports betting and integrity’ course program,” says the company.
The extension course will last 30 hours and will be held from July 17 to August 28 via the zoom platform.
Among the subjects to be addressed, the IGE highlights the current scenario of sports betting in Brazil and in the world, the regulation of the sector in Brazil, management of bookmakers, labor and tax aspects, among other conceptual matters.
In addition, the course will address issues such as governance and compliance, combating match fixing, marketing for sports betting houses and innovation and the future of the market.
