Although the official announcement as a sponsor took place recently, Mercado Livre was already present on the Rainbow Six Siege team's uniforms during the Blast R6 Major title win, held in February this year, in Copenhagen, Switzerland.
The brand becomes the third major brand to join w7m. In March 2022, Banco do Brasil was the team's first major partner, and last month, Elements, a brand of gaming chairs, officially sponsored the team.
"Winning the sponsorship of a brand like Mercado Livre is proof that our work has been bearing fruit. Since last year, we have been building a new path for w7m Esports, and this announcement consolidates our strategy of being a respected and serious organization within the electronic sports scenario," said Felipe Funari, director of operations at w7m Esports.
In addition to sponsorship, Mercado Livre plans to make the partnership even more attractive by launching an official w7m store within its own platform. The idea is that the team's new collections are published directly on the sponsor's e-commerce.
