The campaign with the hashtag #RespeitaOFutebol was created by ANJL – National Association of Games and Lotteries with the objective of valuing sporting integrity. It is narrated by football commentator Galvão Bueno and features personalities from the sport, such as Hulk, Marcelinho Carioca, Zico and Petkovic.
In the case of Esportes da Sorte, this movement in favor of fair and regulated gaming involved clubs sponsored by the company: ABC, América, Athletico Paranense, Bahia, Grêmio, Guarani, Novorizontino and Vila Nova. They entered the field with the ‘Respeita o Futebol’ patch.
Sports betting houses, the biggest victims of match-fixing in football, have been moving to show society that the sector is the most affected by criminal practices, as well as the sport itself, which loses credibility.
To expand the movement around the transparency of sports betting and to raise awareness among fans, the ‘Respeita o Futebol’ promotion was created for this weekend's round of the Brazilian Championship in Series A, B and C.
In addition to the action in the games, the campaign created a landing page dedicated to the theme, and will publish this message in various digital and traditional media, inviting fans to join the movement.
Among the sports betting sites that joined the activation are Esportes da Sorte, EstrelaBet, Betnacional and Aposta Ganha. Betano, Betfast, PagBet, Pixbet, Parimatch and Mr.Jack.Bet complete the list.
“This is a campaign that sends a very important message, in favor of fair play, and reinforces the positioning of bookmakers,” says the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Esportes da Sorte, Ícaro Quinteiro.
“We are the most affected by the manipulation of games and we need everyone to see the seriousness and responsibility of the companies in the segment, which, leaving aside competition, are together to show that we fight for an honest, fair and healthy sport,” Quinteiro added.
“Promoting a campaign like this is essential to reaffirm that values such as integrity, respect, ethics and honesty are non-negotiable, not only in sport but in life. The sports market, especially football, is an industry with a lot of tradition, seriousness and trust. It is our duty to support the fight against any type of irregularity,” says the president of the ANJL, Wesley Cardia.
