GMB – What led you to develop a Brazilian online gaming and sports betting platform to compete in a market where there are global giants in the sector?
Lenildo Nogueira – We had a software development company and seven years ago we were approached to develop a sports betting platform. As we didn't understand anything about this market, we went to study and identify what the customer needed. We identified the potential of this industry and realized that we could develop an interesting product for this market. At that moment we created Weebet and made it available to our first customer.
At that time, we didn't look at the giants of the international market, just trying to do the best for our customers. For a while we continued in this way, always innovating, until the platform reached its maturity. For this reason, we started to look more closely at the international giants to bring more resources to meet our customers' needs. As our focus is the Brazilian market, we always look outside, but making a cultural adaptation and applying it to our local reality.
How many customers use Weebet’s platform?
Today we have more than 250 customers using our platform, which guarantees us a presence throughout Brazil.
You place yourself as the first Brazilian platform developer to offer casino games. What else sets the Weebet platform apart from the competition?
In fact, we were the first Brazilian company to bring the casino already as a platform solution, through a partnership developed with Pragmatic Play, which was the first provider to integrate its games into our system. At that time, international operators already offered casino games, but as a Brazilian solution, we were pioneers. This is the first differential, innovation. Another point that I highlight is the humanized support, the connection with the client, always in search of excellence.
One of the great demands of operators is the availability of different sports and many markets. Have you already achieved this excellence in terms of offerings?
This is a market demand. Having different modalities, markets and events, is the product that the operator can offer its customer. If a particular product is not available on the shelf, the customer will look to the competition. For our market, this variety cannot be missing from the shelf. Today, in the football modality alone, we already have more than 1,000 odds to offer the customer. In addition, we have other resources to make the user experience even better, such as the live tracker (which we call Campinho) and streaming, in which it is possible to watch matches within the platform. So, I would say that we have a set of solutions to deliver to the operator so that he can satisfy his users.
For the area of online gaming, which game aggregator in the market do you work with?
We work with Salsa Technology, today a great partner company. Through them, we have more than 5,000 games available to our customers. In fact, it's a very interesting variety of games and that brings as a differential the delivery of new games and updates to our customers. In addition to the aggregator, we also have direct integration with some providers, such as Pragmatic Play itself, our first partner, Evoplay and other important players.
When it comes to Salsa, there is a similar feature to Weebet, since both have Brazilian DNA.
It is true and much easier to work in partnership with Salsa, which already understands the Brazilian market. This partnership was a success, and we will grow a lot together.
Weebet's support is the best rated among Brazilian operators. Could you tell us a little more about how this team works and how you achieved this excellence?
We have a term that is very important: we are concerned with the customer journey. When an operator hires Weebet, he starts this journey receiving the on-board, in which our team gives the first training, begining to understand everything that the platform can offer, in addition to giving advice on risk management and how to best use the system. This training is face-to-face, live. In addition, we have recorded content from the entire platform so that he can answer check at any time. After that, it is directed to the support team, humanized, to clarify further doubts. This support is fully humanized and has reached the 90-degree level of excellence. We also have the Customer Success area, where our team accompanies them and offers advice on how to use the system in the best way, doubts and demands that arise. And our marketing team is also involved in these processes, offering consultancy and day-to-day platform management. This set is a great differential that we deliver to our customers.
When we talk about support, we are talking about technology. Is the platform integration easy and fast?
Yes, it's very fast. Today we managed to make a platform available in less than 24 hours. We immediately proceeded with the training and soon after we made the casino games available, which can take 15 days for integration. In other words, in less than a month the client is fully qualified to use the platform and work in the market.
The regulation of sports betting is on the eve of happening. What are your expectations about it?
I have good expectations about regulation. Any player in this market who works correctly and with integrity wants regulation. It is important to bring legal certainty, and I understand that it must ensure broad competition. This is the main point and with that the market will be good for everyone and especially for the final consumer. For operators, too, as platform developers will always seek to innovate and offer better solutions.
What are the company's plans for when the market is regulated?
Our main focus will be on making the adaptations that will be required to comply with the new rules. We will do this to meet the new reality and with a focus on our clients, including providing them with legal guidance. Then, obviously, new investments will come and we will certainly expand our operations.
Are you already looking for the big international laboratories to certify the platform and all the nuances of each of the embedded applications?
Yes. It is virtually certain that international certifications will be required by the regulation and we are already looking for this to adapt to whatever is necessary to deliver the solution in accordance with the regulation.
In addition to being an iGaming platform, Weebet offers other services such as legal and marketing consultancy. What can each of these services bring to Brazilian operations?
In our concern for the success of the client, we understand that as much as we deliver a platform at the same level to compete with the big players in the market, we could also give the customer training to use the platform in the best way and marketing and the legal issue. Given this understanding, we partnered to provide the customer with legal support and, at the same time, our marketing team is also available to operators. We take all this knowledge to our client.
