“Paybrokers to show at BiS its payment platform and state-of-the-art solution implemented in Paraná”

One of the most important Brazilian payment method companies, Paybrokers attended Gambling Brasil, in Sao Paulo, to show its solutions and entry into the lottery market. CEO Edson Lenzi comments to GMB that the company is eyeing the international market and that it is proud of the contract with Lotepar, where it will integrate all operators that are accredited to explore lottery modalities in Paraná.

GMB – You are increasingly present at events in the iGaming sector. What are the expectations regarding the fair and the company's growth in recent times?
Edson Lenzi
– This year, we have 17 fairs scheduled, including two in Brazil and the others abroad. The market continues to grow month after month. The long-awaited regulation will soon come out and we will have news to make the market safer and clearer for everyone.

Among the fairs, will you be at BiS SiGMA?
Yes, we will be present and we will also go to Amsterdam, Manilla, Las Vegas and other important international fairs.

Is this a demonstration that Paybrokers is opening up borders to markets other than Brazil?
Yes. We are looking at other markets, first in LatAm and the Americas and then we intend to make a transoceanic expansion to improve service, quality and providing new markets for our customers who want to go to that different world that is instant payment.

Speaking of which, instant payment is all the rage and involves a lot of technology. How to add Paybrokers technology to different local operators and platforms with different formats?
Our API is very complete and easy to integrate. It takes no more than two days to be integrated with merchants. In international expansion, our greatest difficulty will be to understand the local banking system to do this in the safest way for operators.

For those operating in Brazil, integrating with local regulations in mind is very easy, as Brazil has one of the best financial systems…
Indeed, the Brazilian financial and banking regulatory system is very complex. The difficulty becomes technological if we think about the operation of other means of payment other than the PIX, such as the American Zelle. The technology that the Central Bank managed to create and develop for our market is surreal. Being able to replicate this with speed, quality and security is our biggest concern with other places, as not all systems abroad are as advanced as our Brazilian banking system.

Can you imagine that one day we will have a global PIX, as we already have throughout Brazil?
We managed to offer this to Brazilians. One day, we intend for this to be done from outside to inside Brazil. From the inside out, we already have several operations in which the instantaneousness of the PIX ends up happening, but there is still a long way to go until we reach that day.

In addition to payment methods, Paybrokers has stood out in the lottery market, as you are in Paraná ready to receive bets from all operators that qualify for Lotepar. How is this process going?
It's been very beneficial. There we are filing our IP as part of the consortium that won the bid to be the means of payment for the State. The accreditation public notice for operators was recently launched and when the winners are announced, we will start the integration. The State staff is already satisfied with the delivery we made of all the requirements of the Public Notice.

Have you already been sought after by people interested in working in Paraná to learn about your system and see what they need to do to enter the Paybrokers ecosystem?
We already have some current customers who are targeting this market and are already familiar with our API. We have not yet been contacted by interested third parties, also because the public notice and the bidding process are so recent. As it is not yet known who will be able to get accredited, we have not reached that moment, but certainly the integration will not be difficult since we adopt international standards and foreign operators are already able to integrate this easily.
