“In constant development, FBMDS is prepared for the customized games scenario for Brazil”

FBMDS, the digital arm of the company with Brazilian DNA FBM, is prepared to develop customized games for Brazil. That’s what firm’s CEO Roberto Regianini told GMB when visiting its stand at BiS SiGMA Americas. Impressed with the growth of the fair, he highlighted that 'we were pioneers in the country and we are satisfied with what has been done and what will come in the national market.'


GMB – BiS SiGMA, which used to be a local fair, has become a global event. How do you rate this change?
Roberto Regianini
– It is an excellent question, as I am Brazilian and I am proud to participate in a SiGMA event in Brazil and see the number of professionals and companies seeking to create an ecosystem of a possible regulatory scenario in the country. This fills us with pride, as we were part of this pioneering process in all segments, but mainly in the area of iGaming. We are pleased to see what is being done and what is to come in the domestic market.

Speaking of what's to come, we know of the excellent performance of FBM and its Digital System division in the gaming market. Is the FBMDS already more than consolidated?
Consolidated, no, because in our view consolidated means to be in a comfort zone. Our company always aims at technology and innovation. We have already mentioned this on other occasions and reiterate that the Group continues to invest in people and to seek to be a benchmark company in the market in everything we do. In everything that we see potential for growth for the company, FBMDS, as a Group, will work on that.

Is the concern to deliver localized games to each market still one of the backbones of FBMDS developments?
Correct. We strongly believe in the localization factor and what is the understanding of the local market and its audience, combined with technology and experience of the international market. It is this combination that the group seeks, and we are certainly bringing very interesting results in all the markets where we operate.

Have you been working your products directly with operators or through aggregators?
Our company is very broad and flexible and depending on the request or business possibility, we have very easy API technology, both for direct integration and through aggregators. Today we work with the biggest aggregators in the world and any operator that wants to rely on FBMDS products can have it very easy by the aggregators or with us, since our technology is very advanced in terms of integration.

And is the development of games for the Brazilian market already being done so that when the regulation arrives, you can offer them immediately?
This question is very interesting, as the core business is videobingo games. We are one of the biggest players in the industry and understanding this market, which has roots in Brazil for a long time, as well as in Mexico, Spain and Asia, we are fully prepared to deliver our products because we understand this audience, both the old and new one. The Group is certainly prepared for a possible scenario of customized games for the Brazilian market.

What are the FBMDS plans for the regulated market and with the future legalization of other gaming verticals in Brazil?
I participated in a panel about upcoming business opportunities. I mentioned that we, as Brazilians, see the development of this market with the generation of jobs, knowledge and information. And it's all locally sourced, which is really interesting. Having a scenario of legal understanding, we will bring investments to Brazil, because the country and Brazilians deserve it.

Therein lies FBMDS' commitment to the regulated and legalized Brazilian market. We hope this arrives soon.
We are waiting and the moment is near. I feel like a professional exile. A Brazilian who made a career abroad, but we are on a good path and I believe that this will happen correctly, both from the point of view of the entrepreneur and the regulatory government. We are on track and closer than ever.
