GMB – What is your assessment of Sportradar's participation in BiS SiGMA 2023?
Santiago Mizraji – The event is big and already positioned as one of the main ones in Latin America, seeing the size that the fair has reached. Our participation is important for the opportunity to talk to everyone involved in the iGaming and sports betting industry ecosystem. The results are very good and we will certainly have new participations in the coming years.
Sportradar has several segments of activity, such as integrity, ad:s and data. Are they all well strengthened in Latin America?
All of them are very strong in Latin America and the Brazilian market, due to its size, is very important for us. Many of the operators are working with almost all of these verticals and they have been very successful.
At the fair, did you get new contacts and business opportunities?
It's always good, especially for networking, which allows us to expand relationships and build trust alongside our partners. I would say that three days is not enough to do business.
Speaking of partnerships, you have global agreements with the main federations in the world. Is this a good business card for Sportradar?
Clear. Sportradar is part of a large ecosystem, which involves federations, sports betting houses, media groups, etc. We do data collection, delivery of quotes to operators and advertising support for marketing campaigns. So our participation has been a success because of this whole ecosystem.
And as a salesman, are you in high demand?
We have a great team supporting us during BiS SiGMA. The fair is very important, as is the Brazilian market, and that is why our team is strengthened and focused on this important market.
Has Sportradar really set foot in Brazil?
In terms of business, Sportradar has been operating in the country for a long time. Our office for Latin America has been installed in Uruguay for many years, with a well-developed structure to serve Brazil at the moment.
When the regulation comes, will you install a unit in Brazil?
We have to see what will happen. The regulation is not in our hands, but we will make decisions as soon as this happens. For now, we serve all our verticals from Montevideo.
