Through videos shared on social networks, the casino's poster boys teach how customers can create an account, bet and then win the supposed money on the site, which offers betting on games of chance, sporting events, eSports, among other modalities.
Blaze has been the target of thousands of complaints for default. One of them was made by a client of lawyer Maurício Jacometti. After listening to a live from influencer Felipe Neto, the woman, who had just become unemployed, decided to bet all the termination money, R$ 17,000 (US$ 3,500), on Blaze games. Her guesses were accurate and she managed to double the amount bet.
However, the difficulties began when receiving the R$ 34,000 (US$ 7,000). “Unfortunately, when it came time to serve, she couldn't. They gave her 72 hours to submit the documentation. It was forwarded, but they still didn't deposit it. The office forwarded an out-of-court notice to Blaze. But we got no response. Then they release her account, however, with with zero balance,” explained Jacometti.
Creating an account on the site is really very simple, but it is when withdrawing the prize that the problem begins, as there are several reports and complaints from people who claim that they cannot receive the money on the platform. When trying to contact the company's support, users receive inconclusive answers or procedures that do not result in the solution of the problem.
The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, in partnership with Portal do Bitcoin, found 15 lawsuits against Blaze, from eight different Brazilian states. Complaints are diverse and all involve difficulties and problems when it comes to receiving the money earned on the platform.
On the ‘Reclame Aqui’ website there are already more than five thousand customer complaints against Blaze. However, the company only responded to 18 of them. On social networks, the comments section is full of testimonials from people who claim to have been deceived by the betting site.
The problems involving the Blaze have gained national prominence. Thousands of people have claimed to be defaulted after placing bets. Felipe Neto, who influenced the woman and other people on the internet, spoke out. On social networks, the youtuber highlighted that the “attacks on Blaze were coordinated.”
“One day you will discover that the attacks on Blaze were coordinated. There is intention behind it, there is interest. Blaze is the same as every gambling and casino site in the world. Why pursue just one site? All are casinos, all have complaints (like any company), all represent a risk, none can be sued because there is no regulation in Brazil, all are in tax havens precisely because of the lack of regulation,” wrote the influencer on Twitter.
The star of the Brazilian national team, Neymar, is also a poster boy for Blaze. However, after the default reports, the player kept silent about the criticism.
But even with so many dissatisfied customers, there is great difficulty in getting legal proceedings against the company, since the casino has neither headquarters nor an official presence in Brazil.
Despite being registered in the Caribbean, the company's focus is on attracting Brazilian customers. Data from the online traffic analysis site SimilarWeb show that Blaze had 41 million hits in April, of which 98.93% came from Brazil.
