In view of the imminent regulation

KLA Advogados to debate about sports betting and gaming at upcoming event

KLA law firm will hold, next August 8th, an event to debate the regulation of sports betting and discuss the legal framework for games. The studio will have Claudio Lima, founder and CEO of Druid Creative Gaming, accompanied by KLA executives Ana Carolina Cesar and Roberto Lambauer, with mediation by Melissa Kanô, head of media & entertainment.

Technological innovations have taken the gaming sector to a new level, with the use of artificial intelligence and a race to standardize a market that is only growing worldwide. The universe of gaming also includes sports betting, which should be regulated in Brazil soon through a Provisional Measure.

To better explain the subject from the perspective of the Law, the KLA will hold the event “Gaming and Betting Market in Brazil – The current scenario and what should change with the Sports Betting PM”. The event will take place on August 8, at 5 pm, followed by a happy hour at the KLA office (Av. Brigadeiro Faria Lima, 1355, 18th floor, São Paulo).

To address the issue, the event will feature the participation of Claudio Lima, founder and CEO of Druid Creative Gaming, one of the first full service agencies in Brazil focused on the gamer world, associated with Abragames (Brazilian Association of Electronic Games Developers).

The guest will be accompanied by KLA's head of intellectual property, Ana Carolina Cesar, and public law partner, Roberto Lambauer, mediated by Melissa Kanô, head of KLA's media & entertainment area.

The meeting will address relevant aspects of intellectual property, the use of artificial intelligence and implications of plagiarism in codes and games, the use of personal data and information security, the sports betting market and regulatory aspects involving this universe.

To register for the event, which has limited spaces, interested parties just send an email to [email protected] with their full name, company where they work and area of expertise.
