More than 40 clients in 21 countries

With Brazilian technological innovations, Serpro expands business in the international market

The technological innovations of Serpro, the largest public information technology firm in Brazil, arrive abroad with force. The company's trajectory of internationalization already registers more than 40 clients, distributed in 21 countries, who closed contracts as a result of prospecting and operations of multi-client products.

"Serpro's expansion in the international market is a transformative and pioneering initiative and proves the quality of our products, strengthening the image of Serpro and the Brazilian State," celebrates the company's Customer Relations director, André de Cesero.

Currently, there are 107 contracts signed by the company with customers outside the country, with emphasis on the CPF and CNPJ and Datavalid Consultations. Other products aimed at the international market are Consultations NFe and CND, as well as Vio. The 21 countries in which Serpro already does business are: Australia, Canada, Chile, China, Cyprus, Colombia, Curaçao, Spain, United States, Estonia, France, Guatemala, Ireland, Lithuania, Malta, Mexico, Peru, Poland, United Kingdom United Kingdom, Singapore and Sweden.

International expansion

The beginning of internationalization was marked by the partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). “The support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Apex in our internationalization process through training and connections in different countries and business and innovation ecosystems was important in this journey,” highlights Brayam Gonçalves, manager of the Business Division for Companies - International market.

He also highlights the adaptation of the company's commercial and financial processes, such as the definition of billing in dollars, translation contracts to support business meetings, legal support and data privacy, including remodeling in the areas of contracts, billing, e-mail. commerce, post-sales, partnerships and development.

For the second semester, Serpro works on the internationalization of new products and partnerships with other countries for the export of its technology. “We want to expand our customer base and our revenues. Today we already have customers from four continents and we want to close, this year, in five,” adds Gonçalves.

The Serpro Internacional Store, aimed especially at internationalized products and their characteristics, enhances the company's excellence on a global level. Today, the offers are concentrated in six products: CPF queries; CNPJ, NFe and CND, Vio Decoding and Datavalid. And also three projects: Boarding + Insurance; Gov.br and Vio Codification. Serpro supports its products in three languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese.

“With the store in a dedicated space, we can work more effectively with the internationalization discourse, offering products and strategic projects for international governments. All this in partnership with Serpro's e-commerce and marketing teams,” explains Rafael Ferreira, Head of Internationalization and e-commerce at the company.

New solutions

In addition to exporting services already offered in Brazil, the company's work to create solutions aimed at the specific needs of each country continues in partnership with Apex Brasil and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, capturing project opportunities for governments in line with the company's strategic planning to diversify its customer portfolio.

With the creation of new products and an e-commerce platform in constant improvement for the global market, the expectation is to further increase Serpro's international operations.
