The seminar "Anti-Laundering and Security: Challenges and Solutions" began this Wednesday (12th) in Mexico City, jointly organized by the Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Games of Chance (Cibelae), the World Association of Lotteries (WLA) and the National Lottery of Mexico (Lotenal).
The director general of the National Lottery of Mexico, Margarita González Saravia, welcomed the participants of the seminar and, afterwards, the president of Cibelae, Javier Milián, opened the seminar.
Among those present were authorities, representatives and employees of Latin American lotteries, such as Loterias CAIXA (Brazil), Lottery of the City of Buenos Aires (Argentina), the Institute of Financial Aid for Social Action of Entre Ríos – on behalf of the Association of Argentine State Lotteries –, National Gambling Commission of Paraguay (CONAJZAR), Pediatric Foundation (Guatemala), Loteria Nacional Beneficenca (El Salvador), Loteria Concepción (Chile), Loterias Eletrónicas de Honduras, La Banca (Uruguay), Grupo Social ONCE (Spain) and the delegation of the National Lottery of Mexico.
The seminar was attended by specialists in the topic of Money Laundering Prevention and Security in Lotteries. Members of Cibelae's technical commissions (Laundering Prevention and Security) were responsible for organizing and coordinating the contents, exposing different works carried out and case studies.
In addition, industry leading companies such as Gaming Labs International (GLI), IGT and Scientific Games (SG) - all Platinum members of Cibelae - attended the seminar with speakers with extensive experience.
Diego González Quinteros, manager of La Banca and member of the WLA's Safety and Risk Committee, spoke about the association's technical safety certification standard. For their part, Loteria Concepción and Loteria Nacional Mexicana presented their experiences on security issues.
The seminar held in Mexico City seeks to continue strengthening international cooperation in the prevention of money laundering and security in lotteries.
