The new Law, authored by Deputy Fernando Braide (PSC), and approved by the Legislative Assembly, addresses points related to electronic sports, such as inclusion mechanisms, regulation, rules and benefits for athletes and professionals, as well as forms of financial incentive.
In addition, the new legislative text has actions for the generation of new jobs in the state, with the chain movement of several areas, among health professionals, destined to assist athletes, to game developers, among others.
With more than 11 million viewers, Brazil is the third largest audience in the world that follows electronic sports, according to a survey released by Newzoo, and the largest in all of Latin America.
