The Happy Initiative, the charity arm of Platincasino, an online gaming platform based in Malta that is operating in Brazil since January this year, started yet another social partnership to encourage sports.
This time the company teamed up with Instituto Bola Pra Frente, a project created by Brazilian four-time world champion Jorginho, which helps around 400 people in Complexo do Muquiço, located in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, the community where the player was raised.
Founded in 2000, Instituto Bola Pra Frente operates in the surrounding community and helps, even if indirectly, around 15,000 residents, many in situations of social vulnerability. The project, whose main premise is culture and education, uses sport as one of the tools for human development.
Focused on assisting people and supporting their families, the organization contributes to cultural and intellectual education, access to higher education and professional qualification of residents in the region.
“When I was a child, I looked out the window of my house, saw that field and imagined Disney, I wanted to make that space my dream, and today we managed to impact this community where I was born and lived most of my life,” says Jorginho, creator of the NGO.
“When we arrived in Brazil in January of this year, we committed ourselves, as a company, to supporting organizations that invest in sport, education and culture. Instituto Bola Pra Frente manages to unite all these fronts and does exemplary work in helping these people and their families. We believe in and encourage this cause as one of our main pillars,” said a Platincasino spokesperson.
In addition to Instituto Bola Pra Frente, the online gaming platform has also signed another partnership with Centro Esportivo Santa Marta. Sponsor of Centurion FC, the main MMA event in southern Europe, Platincasino, alongside fighters from the organization, carried out two actions in the community located in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro.
To celebrate their support for Bola Pra Frente, members of Platincasino went, along with Jorginho, to Complexo do Muquiço to visit the project's headquarters and other actions developed by the institution.
Created in 2012, Platincasino arrived in Brazil in January 2023. The platform, registered in Malta, licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) since 2018, offers a variety of games, from the most traditional ones such as slot machines, roulette, poker and blackjack, to newer ones like Aviator and Gates of Olympus. At Platincasino it is also possible to place sports bets on the main championships in Brazil and the world.
