The estimate is that it will be necessary to pay R$ 30 million (US$ 6.35m) for a five-year permit. With that, their fear is that there will be a monopoly in the sector and that only the biggest companies will be able to operate.
However, the idea was put on hold after Francisco Manssur, special advisor to the Executive Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance, stated that the grant amount could be revised.
According to him, there may be a decrease in the value or an extension of the company's operating period in the country.
These decisions will be published further ahead through ordinances. There is still no deadline for them to be made official.
