Through Genius Sports, Abradie discusses integrity at Women's Basketball All-Star Game

As a way of contributing to the awareness of athletes regarding the importance of sporting integrity, the Brazilian Association for the Defense of Sports Integrity (Abradie) took the debate to the Women's Basketball League, in the Stars Game. Genius Sports' business manager, Guilherme Buso, was responsible for introducing athletes, coaches and managers.

An important moment for Brazilian women's basketball took place this weekend when the Women's Basketball League (LBF) celebrated another edition of the Game of the Stars, in the city of Itu (SP).

The Brazilian Association for the Defense of Integrity in Sport (Abradie) carried out its first action after the LBF joined the entity, by taking Guilherme Buso, Genius Sports business manager and representative of the association, to the debate.

Buso was responsible for the presentation to the League, when athletes, coaches and officials came together to debate the integrity of sport and how competition can prevent match-fixing and corruption related to sports betting.

It was a pleasure to share the best practices of the betting market through this workshop created by Abradie, also showing how the technology and expertise of Genius Sports, official partner of the League, can directly contribute to the fight against match fixing,” said Buso.

The LBF was the first league to join Abradie with the aim of disseminating the culture of sporting integrity and, according to Valter Ferreira, president of the League, “at a time when sport as a whole is under the threat of match-fixing, it is It is extremely important that we participate in all kinds of actions to curb this evil.”

The objective, according to the director, is "to guarantee the League's commitment to transparency and the availability of the entire universe of the LBF with the collaboration of the affiliated clubs, their athletes and technical commissions."
