GMB – What is your opinion of BiS SiGMA Americas, where you were present with a beautiful stand?
Ramiro Atucha – I am very happy with the fair. We spoke with many friends, customers and suppliers. The growth of the event is impressive and I hope it sends a positive message to the government and regulators so that they regulate the sector and that they have confidence in the possibilities of generating jobs and business. Not to mention the importance of an entertainment sector that deserves all the attention.
And speaking of business, how is Vibra Gaming and Vibra Solutions doing, especially with those very important contacts you mentioned?
They do very well, luckily. As we mentioned before, we separated Vibra Gaming and Vibra Solutions. The first, as a studio focused on developing games for the Latin American and Brazilian markets; while Vibra Solutions is dedicated to the platform business. In this particular segment, we have seen many cases of operators in Latin America and Brazil contracting white label or turnkey platforms from large European providers. They are very good platforms, but they are not designed for LatAm. In our business model, we try to provide each operator with a platform tailored to their needs and the local market.
We understand that operators must be able to own their destination. Therefore, we always offer the possibility of licensing the source code, so that all operators can be sure that it will continue. This means that any change in the platform will not happen in the context of their operations and the trust they place in our company.
Is it a successful solution and a change of concept by Vibra Solutions?
It's a very innovative concept, as some companies offer a white label service but don't deliver the source code, while others give the code but don't make adjustments. We tweak and put everything live with what they need and they can buy the code and still support them in the future if they need it.
Are you already being sought by operators who want to enter Brazil in this way?
Many who want to enter Brazil and others who are already in the country with European platforms who need something more localized or that they strategically don't feel comfortable not having in their hands, but out of control.
About Vibra Gaming again, is the company introducing new games?
Yes. We are working on our own line of crash games, which have attracted a lot of attention, and some tabletop games, which are also attracting the interest of operators. And always with the possibility of implementing their identities in roulette, blackjack, etc. Not to mention that we are doing the same in the line of crash games.
By the way, have crash games been getting a lot of attention, especially for the millennial and X generations?
It's a success and it's very interesting, because we are in a moment of so much content and quantity, that many choose to make game replicas. And suddenly something new appears, like crash games, which make clear the importance of creating and investing in new concepts and ideas.
What do you expect from the Brazilian market?
I no longer know what to expect. For 15 or 20 years it is about to be regulated. I always say the same: It has to be regulated, because people are not waiting for regulation to play. They gamble on offshore and illegal sites. It has to be regulated so that players have quality control, certification and tax collection. I think it's the best for everyone and that the regulation shouldn't see the gaming sector as something bad. It is entertainment. We all have to work so that those who have problems are helped, and we have to pay taxes.
We already have the sports betting law, which is awaiting regulation, but in all markets casino games represent up to 80% of income, so if only sports betting is enabled, those who invest in the license have a disadvantage against those not regulated. The player will leave a site that does not offer this vertical to look for another one. We must avoid that.
