The request questions recent statements by CAIXA's presidency, about being the holder of the operating license, in contradiction to what was agreed in an official meeting.
In an official meeting with AIDIGLOT last Tuesday (15Th), it was stated that Lotex would go to bidding, without the option of emergency with CAIXA as operator.
The non-emergency operation had already been publicly confirmed by the special advisor to the Executive Secretariat, José Francisco Manssur, in a public hearing at the Finance and Taxation Commission of the Chamber of Deputies last April 12th, and reiterated in hearings and meetings techniques at the MF in the months of June and August.
“The lottery market, as well as the financial sector, is fully aware of the commitment of the MF team to combating any regulatory setback. In this sense, it surprises us that the president of CAIXA, which is a public company linked to the Finance Ministry, makes a statement that creates uncertainty for the lottery market,” says the president of AIDIGLOT, Mirko Mayeroff.
“Finally, it should be mentioned that returning the instant lottery public service to CAIXA, without the auction process, would be a regulatory and institutional setback, going against the grain of the excellent work that the Finance Ministry has been doing since the beginning of this year.”
