One of the leading sports betting houses in the country and sponsor of Argentine national football team, BetWarrior officially launched its exclusive land-based sports betting product for the province of Salta, an initiative that requires that the payments of the bets are made at local stores of the Loteria de Salta.
The different tournaments and championships with their respective matches are displayed on the website betwarrior.bet.ar. There, the bettor selects the match and the result for which he wishes to bet and a QR code is generated, which must be presented at an agency and paid for in person. The minimum bet amount is $300 (US$1.10) and up to a maximum of $10,000 (US$37).
"This proposal has a double purpose: that the physical points have more profitability and that the young public enters the market of physical sales and, of course, to fight the illegal market. The more we take the game to legal channels, the better," commented Guillermo Marti, CEO of Loteria de Salta.
The website, which already has the sale option in Salta enabled 20 days ago, made a record collection last Tuesday (1st) for River's match against Internacional, from Brazil, for the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores, where almost $400,000 (US$ 1.500) was played.
"56% of the agencies in Salta have already tried the product; that is, they have already made at least one bet," added Marti.
BetWarrior, which is also an official sponsor of the Argentine Hockey Confederation and the Argentine Tennis Association, is looking to expand the sports offer for users to bet on.
"As a first, we can anticipate that rugby matches are also going to be incorporated, an agreement is still being reached with the Argentine Rugby Union," commented Enrique Gómez, commercial manager of Lotería de Salta.
Finally, the general manager Ignacio Crotto invited those lottery stores that want to sell Lotería de Salta products to join the initiative: "We believe that the best is to have more points of sale, which is why we invite businesses to request the services and, in a short time, we enabled the sale of products.”
