UOL begins to market its 2024 project for sports betting houses in Brazil

Already targeting 2024, UOL, the largest digital publisher in Brazil, begins to present to the market its exclusive portfolio of products and projects for the sports betting market. It is a robust combination that encompasses 5 pillars: awareness, experience, content, performance and technology. The LiveODDs Network, with more than 300 sites anchored to the domain, to guarantee even more content and visibility for partners.

Guilherme Frioli, head of advertising and business at UOL, reinforces that the entire portfolio structure was designed according to the needs of the segment.

“Once again, what prevailed in the construction of these assets was something simple, listening and understanding our partners throughout 2023 and consecutively putting on the streets a menu developed based on solid, targeted and consistent demands.”

Analyzing the products offered for next year, once again the highlight continues to be the powerful and desired property of LiveODDs, which will present a great new feature in its delivery. Named LiveODDs Network, the product will allow a great reach beyond UOL's properties and channels.

“UOL currently has an exclusive Network, with more than 300 sites anchored to our domain. We can say that we have the best in terms of content and regional and national audience. Our idea was simple, nothing more than using this extensive network of partners with the aim of plugging LiveOdds into websites that have football coverage. This property will further strengthen operators’ ability to connect with local markets,” he says.

Another point to highlight is the series of customized content, with the aim of addressing issues about responsible gaming and teaching in the practice of sports betting, allowing operators to provide information to the audience through another business perspective.

Also added to the project are:

  • Home Page and UOL Esporte diaries blocked throughout the year on the main game days Vs Audience.
  • 2024 Olympics Project (possibility of LiveODDs plug)
  • Sponsorship/activation of UOL sports schedule (Uol Esporte News, De Primeira, Possession of the ball, End of Chat)
  • Live Odds Copa América Sponsorship
  • Sponsorship/Activation at major events (Carnauol, VerãoUOL and various shows)

Frioli states that by the end of the year, two more major new features will be announced to make up the 2024 product range.

LiveODDs are natively integrated into the editorial environment and fixed space, continuously and uninterruptedly throughout the year of all championships. Below each announced match, a banner indicating the game's odds is linked directly to the partner bookmaker, generating an indisputably productive connection.

The packages are being sold in six different categories:

  • Regional: Paulista, Carioca, Mineiro, Gaúcho, Baiano, Cearense, Paranaense, Pernambucano and Copa Nordeste
  • Nationals: Brasileirão series A, B, C, D, Brazilian Women's A1 and Copa do Brasil
  • South Americans: Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana and Recopa Sudamericana
  • Europeans: Champions League, Nations League, German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Copa del Rey, German Cup, FA Cup, Spanish Super Cup, European Super Cup, French Super Cup, English Super Cup and Italian Super Cup
  • International: Copa América
  • Brazilian: Brasileiro UOL Network – property only for the network's partner sites, with delivery of regional championships and Brasileirão Série A

So far, UOL has only closed the European package, acquired by Aposta Ganha. The National and South American packages cannot be sold for now, as Sportingbet owned this property in 2023 and will have until October 15th to decide whether or not to continue with the partnership.

“2023 is and continues to be a great year. It is extremely satisfying to see the change in clients' mindset regarding the media market, clearly this industry is increasingly technical and professional, challenging communication vehicles to reinvent themselves, deepen knowledge about the sector, invest in technology and, above all, find paths and solutions that make sense for this business. Being close to the best, and listening to those who understand, will continue to be our premise for 2024,” concludes Frioli.
