Betano, one of the largest bookmakers in the world, based in Greece, is about to renew its sponsorship contract with Atlético Mineiro. Printed on the players' chests, the brand should remain in prime space for another four years.
The extension of the link with Betano, which was threatened by a possible change of sponsorship due to an offer from Pixbet of R$29 million (US$ 5.75m) per year, will yield Atlético Mineiro R$120 million (US$ 24m) during the four years of the contract.
According to the report, the value could reach R$32 million (US$ 6.35m) per year, compared to the R$20 million (US$ 3.95m) that Betano currently pays to Atlético.
Betano is operated by the Kaizen Gaming group, based in Greece and with more than ten years in the sports betting market. The company also appears in other countries such as Portugal, Germany, Romania, Greece, Cyprus, Chile and Bulgaria.
Designed to offer an excellent online experience, combined with easy access through all devices (desktop, laptop, tablet, cell phone and Android application), Betano allows users to enjoy top-of-the-line products and services, acting with a platform with a friendly and simple to use interface.
The brand also has a presence in online/offline media and seeks to expand its position in the market as the best and most reliable sports betting house in the country.
The company is a sponsor of several football teams in Europe and South America, including traditional clubs such as Benfica, Porto, Sporting (Portugal) and, recently, Universidad do Chile.
In Brazil, in addition to being the main sponsor of Clube Atlético Mineiro (MG), it also features the most noble area of Fluminense's (RJ) shirt.
