The main function of these testing and certification laboratories is to verify that the products and systems comply with standards, regulations and requirements established by regulatory authorities and entities responsible for the gaming and lottery industry.
The certifications issued by these laboratories guarantee that the games are fair, safe, free of fraud and that they meet the required international quality standards.
“This accreditation for the lottery gaming industry demonstrates the commitment of Lottopar and the Government of Paraná to provide a safe and responsible environment for lottery operations, guaranteeing global security standards. Now the lottery companies that will operate in the State can issue certificates and carry out tests in Paraná without the need to resort to laboratories in other states or even outside the country,” stated the president of Loterias do Paraná, Daniel Romanowski.
The opening of the notice by Lottopar aims to seek excellence in the services provided by lottery operators. "Performing the tests and issuing certificates by accredited laboratories will bring even more credibility to the lottery games sector and more security for the player. Laboratories have a fundamental role in scientifically proving the quality and reliability of the software and equipment offered to the public. This is another step towards guaranteeing the quality that people from Paraná expect from lottery operations in the state," said Romanowski.
The public notice for accreditation of testing and certification laboratories is open and can be consulted at this link.
Representatives of both parties participated in the signing of the documents, including the regional director for Latin America of Gaming Laboratories International, Georges Didier; the executive of government relations and business development of GLI, Valter Delfraro Júnior; the administrative and financial director of Lottopar, Rogério Nogueira; the operational director of Lottopar, Fabio Veiga; Lottopar's technical director, Rafael Halila; Lottopar's chief of staff, Stefanny Fernandes; and Simone Marin Israel, from the local authority's operations directorate.
This is another step towards the security of the structure of the games even before they are fully operational. The first step was hiring the company responsible for providing and operating the lottery service management platform.
At the moment, the accreditation process for the first companies that will be able to operate fixed-quota bets, locally known as "bets", in the State is underway. The process of technical evaluation and approval of companies is being conducted by Lottopar. The concession for operating fixed quota bets will guarantee the State an initial fixed grant of R$ 5 million (US$ 1.01m) per operator.
