Blaze develops 'mirror sites' and continues to operate in Brazil after blocking ruled by Justice

A court decision in the state of São Paulo determined the blocking of the online betting website Blaze in Brazil. However, Blaze used its X account to report that it had developed two “mirrors” of its main address. In this case, websites identical to the main one but with different URLs to the one that was the subject of the judicial determination initiated by the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel).

This Thursday (7) afternoon, the Portuguese version of the URL of the Blaze betting site was online, although it was not possible to state the existence of instability due to the judicial compliance initiated by the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), which confirmed the sending of official letters to internet providers determining compliance with the decision of last August 22nd of the 2nd Tax Crimes, Criminal Organization and Laundering of Assets and Values of São Paulo, related to the blocking of Blaze in Brazil.

Last Tuesday (5), Blaze used its X account to report that it had developed two “mirrors” of its main address. In this case, sites identical to the main one but with URLs different from the one that was the subject of the court order. Which should expand, as Blaze created a website exclusively for publishing new URLs, according to what the company informs in the publication.

Earlier this week, Anatel confirmed that it had forwarded the official letter to internet provider companies that are currently operating in Brazil so that the decision could be fulfilled within 24 hours, according to what appears in the document signed by Anatel's Superintendent of Inspection, Marcelo Alves da Silva.

The decision also determined the removal of the Instragram profile of Influencer Juju Ferrari, which promotes Blaze. Judge Guilherme Eduardo Kellner cited bets classified as a game of chance such as “Crash”, in which the player tries to hit the right moment to leave the game and make a profit.

On the page directed to Blaze on the ‘Reclame aqui’ website, the company had more than 26,000 complaints, many related to withdrawals being blocked.

In June, Blaze, which is cited in the CPI of Cryptocurrencies, accumulated 5,700 complaints. The company was even promoted by Neymar Jr and Felipe Neto, among other influencers.

The company is headquartered in Curaçao, a tax haven in the Caribbean where the online bookmaker Bruxo10.Bet is also based, promoted in June this year by former player Ronaldinho Gaúcho, as reported by Cointelegraph Brasil.
