"Raspadinha® conquers an increasingly larger market, and new developments are on the horizon”

With just two months on the market, Raspadinha®, from Consórcio Mineira da Sorte Loterias (CMSL), is already a success in Minas Gerais. Felipe Abramides, Marketing Director, shares his insights in the exclusive GMB series Balance 2023/Goals 2024 and discusses the product's performance in the state. He expresses great optimism for this year and mentions that new games will be coming soon.

Games Magazine Brasil - What is your evaluation of the performance and growth of Consórcio Mineira da Sorte Loterias in 2023 overall? Was it as expected or did it exceed your expectations?
Felipe Abramides - Considering that we won the bid in June this year to operate Raspadinha®, we can say that the performance, so far, is excellent. We already have our products produced and in stock, present in more than 500 points of sale, and growing every day. With only 5 months, we already have the systems running, media on the air, and a structured and trained team.

What is your assessment of the performance and growth of Consórcio Mineira da Sorte in the Brazilian market in 2023?
We can say that we exceeded our expectations and goals for 2023. Initially, a year of system implementation, team formation, selection of resellers, and official product launch in the market, but it is, day by day, demonstrating its strength and conquering more and more market, all of this with two months of the product circulating.

Could you list the main achievements or objectives achieved?
We are already in more than 500 points of sale, with more than 20 thousand winning tickets, and we have already surpassed the mark of 200 thousand reais in distributed prizes. It's been just over two months with the product on the market, a memorable launch, and many stories to tell. We are optimistic for 2024 and with the certainty of a product that will distribute a lot of fun and joy to bettors.

In your sector, what themes or technological advances do you think will dominate the market in 2024? What will be the future trends?
Like in other markets, the experience is being enhanced every moment. Raspadinha® has this at its core, the feeling of scratching and winning is very rewarding, and there is a lot of technology to deliver a superior experience. The quality of the games is fundamental, from the scratching area, paper weight, but also the design of the tickets, which took into account various consumer surveys. We are already working on new games for 2024 and, of course, thinking about more and more consumer interaction technologies, either through machines and/or digital. We have plans for these segments as well. We will have news soon.

What is your overall opinion on the regulation of the sports betting and online gaming market in Brazil?
We believe that regulating these activities is the best thing for the country, the market, and the consumer. Everyone benefits, with more security for players, income generation, and formal jobs for the market, as well as the movement of social projects through transfers to the public authorities.

What are the main goals/objectives of Consórcio Mineira da Sorte Loterias for 2024 in the Brazilian market? And globally?
Our goal for 2024, both nationally and globally, is to consolidate the Raspadinha® brand in Minas Gerais. The state represents a giant market and is composed of very demanding consumers, and that's why we think about every detail with great care. Throughout the year, we will bring even more news that we will soon reveal to the market.
