EstrelaBet, the current main sponsor of Vasco da Gama's basketball team, will take over the prime spot on the football team's jersey starting this week, with a contract worth US$ 9,5 million per year, valid for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The contract also includes performance-related targets that could add US$ 2 million to the club's coffers.
Vasco recently terminated its contract with Pixbet, and the betting company no longer appears on the club's uniform or other previously agreed-upon spaces, such as the club's website, training shirts, and interview backdrops. In its place, EstrelaBet is expected to take over the prime spot on the Vasco da Gama jersey in the coming days.
EstrelaBet and Vasco are finalizing the contract terms, which are expected to be signed later this week. According to the agreement, the club will bear the termination fee for ending the contract with Pixbet, and the sponsorship amount will be more than double what Vasco received from the previous sponsor (US$ 4,5 million).
