As its co-founder Ernildo Júnior disclosed

After success in Brazil, Pixbet would begin its international expansion with the Mexican market

The Paraíba native Ernildo Júnior, co-founder of the betting platform Pixbet, disclosed in an interview with the press that he has high expectations for the company's international growth in the year 2024, starting with the Mexican market. He also commented on the agreement to sponsor Flamengo for the next two years at a value of US$ 34.5 million and the federal government's regulation regarding betting.

"Actually, it was a dream to reach Flamengo; for me, it was already something grand. I came from the interior of Paraíba. I never even imagined that one day I would be on the Flamengo shirt, and it has become the biggest sponsorship, which is a dream. Actually, I live a daily dream, a dream of work and achievements, and I go with dedication and perseverance, thankfully it has worked out," he stated.

Ernildo provided details about Pixbet's project to become an international company. The initial step is ambitious. According to the CEO of the company, the main sponsor of Flamengo, a visit to Mexico is scheduled for next week, where he plans to meet with local authorities to assess the possibility of establishing the betting platform in Mexican territory.

"Just to give you an idea, on the 22nd or 23rd, I might be going to Mexico. There is a plan to go to other parts of the world. Previously, we only thought about Brazil, but today we think about the world," he said.

Ernildo positively evaluated the regulation of the online sports betting market in Brazil. The law, sanctioned by President Lula (PT), taxes companies and bettors, establishes rules for the exploitation of bets, and defines the distribution of the government's revenue from the activity.

"The regulation, for me, was wonderful. From the beginning, we sought regularization, as we have already done in Rio, Paraná, and now in Paraíba [with the tender launched by LOTEP]. As national regulation is now coming, we are waiting," expressed the co-founder of Pixbet.

"We already have a CNPJ, we are licensed in Rio de Janeiro, I am Brazilian, I never had the concept of being an international company in Brazil. Let's talk about taxes, about regulation. Let's go, I am waiting for the government to define the rules so that we can actually pay taxes," concluded the businessman.
