With an eye on Brazilian market regulation

Eightroom and Vpag kick off their activities in 2024 with significant participation at ICE London

Eightroom and its comprehensive payment solution Vpag have their focus this year directed towards advanced operations in a market undergoing significant transformation through regulation. The company's practices and standards reaffirm its advanced position in a subject that is expected to be one of the central topics in the market in 2024 and at ICE London (Feb 6-8), where they will have 12 representatives, including CEO, directors, and experts.

The beginning of each season is symbolic and, in most cases, brings important indicators of the tactical positioning that major companies will adopt in the market over the next 12 months. In the case of Eightroom and its comprehensive payment solution Vpag, the focus should be heavily directed towards advanced business operations in a market that is heading for significant transformation through regulation—a plausible reality in the near future.

It is not yet possible to predict all the changes that regulation of gaming may bring to companies in the sector, but it is certain that transformations will occur. Brands operating in various layers of this ecosystem will need to adapt their operations to comply with new regulations. This adaptation process is already a priority for Eightroom, which views this challenge as one of the main institutional tasks at the beginning of 2024.

With nearly two decades of operation and an extensive list of success stories, one of Eightroom's great differentiators lies in delivering results through its marketing products. In light of this, the company is already anticipating the self-regulation rules for gambling advertising in Brazil presented by Conar. This ensures that both the marketing products (which already followed the guidelines of the MGA) and Vpag are in compliance with Annex X of the National Council for Advertising Self-Regulation.

As part of this process, Eightroom is preparing to serve only operators who have obtained, or expressed interest in obtaining, the license. For others, neither financial products (Wallet and Flash) nor marketing services will be offered.

This stance explicitly reaffirms the company's commitment to operating in a regulated market. Within the scope of Vpag's activities, the brand is already authorized to create registered payment accounts at the Central Bank for Brazilian users. But that's not all; there are other good practices that should attract the attention of major market players.

Article 23 of the Gambling Law deals with the verification of the bettor's identity. This is a rule for operators, but it is certainly aligned with the verification process carried out by Vpag, which already has active technologies for document validation and identity verification in less than 5 minutes. These actions, combined with the product's continuous effort in user experience, contribute to a higher player value.

All these issues, along with other company priorities, will be discussed during the ICE London 2024 edition, taking place between February 6 and 8 in England’s capital city. Last year, Eightroom announced important details about Vpag at the conference, which were further developed, worked on, and officially launched throughout the season. This is one of the major industry events and a highly relevant opportunity to connect with other global players operating at a high level.

For London, Eightroom will bring 12 representatives, including its CEO, directors, and experts from areas such as payments, content, and sales. The Vpag stand will be at N10-251, while Eightroom’s will be at S9-250. For interested companies, this is an excellent opportunity for networking.
