Directors of the venues and other professionals involved in organizing also received special training on handling suspicions, and warning posters have been spread across the stadiums.
The offensive against match-fixing is led by the FPF's Competition, Legal, and Registration, Transfer, Licensing, and Affiliation departments, along with the TJD-SP (Sports Court of São Paulo).
"Awareness is the key to preventing unethical practices and ensuring the unpredictability of football. Through this project, the FPF demonstrates its commitment not only to promoting grassroots football but also to building a culture of sports integrity," says Mariana Chamelette, prosecutor of TJD-SP.
The FPF is the pioneering Brazilian sports organization in the fight against match-fixing and other crimes. Through the Integrity Committee, established in 2015, the FPF works on preventing and investigating allegations of match-fixing, harassment, abuse, doping, racism, among others.
Warnings and reports are investigated by the Integrity Committee and forwarded to competent public authorities, such as Drade (Police Delegation for Repression of Crimes of Sporting Intolerance) and the State Public Prosecutor's Office.
Currently, the FPF relies on the services provided by StatsPerform, an internationally experienced company that monitors suspicious movements in betting markets.
