Corinthians and VaideBet formalize the largest sponsorship deal in the history of Brazilian football: US$ 76M

Corinthians and the VaideBet betting platform have signed the largest main sponsorship deal in the history of Brazilian football. The club will receive US$ 76 million over the next three years (US$ 24,5 million per year and US$ 2 million as a signing bonus). The company will showcase its brand on the jerseys of the men's and women's football teams, as well as the futsal and basketball teams.

VaideBet will contribute R$ 10 million per month, surpassing the known values of all other football sponsorships in Brazil, marking a new milestone in the relationship between football clubs and the sports sponsorship market. The agreement is valid for three years, with a connection until December 2026.

The annual amount surpasses the R$ 85 million that Flamengo receives from Pixbet. Corinthians also outperforms rival Palmeiras, which receives R$ 81 million annually in a fixed partnership with Crefisa.

"We are very happy to bring the largest sponsorship in the history of Brazilian football to Corinthians, the result of negotiations that began during the campaign. We always emphasize that Corinthians has the biggest brand in South American football and one of the largest in the world. So I insist: no one can think small in this club. Gradually, we will regain credibility, prominence, and return Corinthians to Corinthians," said President Augusto Melo. "We start 2024 with great announcements, and VaideBet will certainly be one of our central partners in great achievements."

VaideBet has sponsored events and festivals and is making its first foray into football. To boost its growth in the market, in September 2023, the company announced its first and exclusive ambassador, a prominent figure in the entertainment industry with great charisma: sertanejo singer and Corinthians fan Gusttavo Lima.

VaideBet will cover the R$ 20 million fine for Corinthians to terminate the contract with Pixbet. Also, a betting site, Pixbet had a sponsorship agreement with Corinthians until 2025.

The main spot on the Corinthians shirt was previously occupied by Neo Química, a Brazilian pharmaceutical laboratory that has Hypera Pharma as its parent organization. The agreement was valid until the end of 2025 but was amicably terminated in mid-December.

Duilio Monteiro Alves had everything ready to announce Pixbet as the new main sponsor, but Augusto Melo blocked the deal, which would have brought R$ 150 million to Corinthians' coffers for two seasons (R$ 75 million annually).
