KSOP poker championship will feature rankings with over R$ 1.4 million in prizes

The 2024 season of KSOP (Kings Series of Poker) will distribute over US$ 300 mil in prizes across the following rankings: overall, Omaha, foreign players (for non-Brazilian participants), and ladies (for women). Additionally, there is the top 36 ranking, where the top 36 players in each stage earn the buy-in (registration fee) for the main event of the following season.

In the overall ranking, the champion will receive a prize of R$ 500,000, along with a package to compete in the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), including the $10,000 (R$ 49,800) buy-in for the main event. The runner-up in the ranking will earn US$ 20,500, while the third-placed player will take home US$ 10,270.

In the Omaha ranking, a total of US$ 10,000 will be awarded to the top three players: US$ 5,000 for the champion, US$ 3,000 for the runner-up, and US$ 2,000 for the third-placed player.

For the foreign players' ranking, KSOP will distribute a total prize pool of US$ 18,000 (R$ 88,000). The champion will receive US$ 10,000, the runner-up will get US$ 5,000, and the third-placed player will be awarded US$ 3,000.

Regarding the ladies' ranking, a total of US$ 3,000 will be distributed as follows: US$ 2,000 for the champion, US$ 600 for the runner-up, and US$ 400 for the third-placed player.

In addition to its own rankings, KSOP has partnered with CAP (Circuito Argentino de Poker) and IPT (Iguazu Poker Tour) to organize the South American Poker Cup at the end of 2024, at Casino Iguazú in the city of Puerto Iguazú (ARG). A total of 36 players will compete in the championship: the top 18 from the overall KSOP ranking, nine from CAP, and nine from IPT. Qualifiers will enjoy free accommodation and will compete for a prize of US$ 10,000.

As of now, KSOP 2024 has confirmed five stages: in Rio de Janeiro (January 24 to February 7), in Fortaleza (April 3 to 9), in São Paulo (June 5 to 11), in Itajaí (August 21 to 31), and another one in Rio de Janeiro (October 28 to November 6).
