“Oddsgate is compliant in Brazil and alongside seven operators that requested federal authorization”

Oddsgate, one of the leaders in the iGaming industry, offering a complete SaaS platform, attended recent SBC Lisboa. CEO Tiago Almeida expressed to GMB his satisfaction with the partnership with Brazilian operators and highlighted that the company is now fully compliant with the country’s rules to serve those seeking a license. “We have this responsibility with seven operators that have requested a federal license, in addition to others at the state level.”

GMB – Oddsgate has shown strong growth both in betting and in the number of accesses provided. What does this represent for the company?
Tiago Almeida – This represents a great responsibility that has been entrusted to us by our partner operators. They are the secret to success, through their hard work, dedication, and professionalism that they put into their efforts every day. On our side, we have a platform that offers stability, technical competence, and knows how to handle the flow of data and visitors that Brazil generates. Brazil is a giant country, and we have been doing this work from day one. It is a very important market for Oddsgate.

How has the relationship with Brazilian operators been?
It has been very good. The SBC Summit Lisbon created excellent networking opportunities, and during the event, we hosted a dinner for over 100 people, where some of our main partners were present. We received excellent feedback from everyone regarding our solutions. At the fair, we showcased our products aimed at both federal-level operators and those applying for state lotteries. We began this process in April last year to complete all the technical compliance work and take on the challenge posed by regulation.

We know that the only way to help our operators reach the next level is to be fully compliant with the guidelines of the Secretariat for Prizes and Betting (SPA).

Is Oddsgate ready for everything presented by the SPA?
We are 99.9% ready. Some regulations have come out in the last few days, and everything will be finalized soon. But as I said, 99.9% is already done, and we have this responsibility with seven operators who have applied for federal licenses, in addition to others at the state level. That will be the key turning point for what will be the great Brazilian market, now formally working in partnership with the regulatory body.

What are Oddsgate's plans for this future market, which officially begins on January 1st?
Our plan is to continue fulfilling our commitment to our customers, not only in terms of stability but also in the responsible use of data. We have an SLA of 99.9%, and we make a point of sharing our performance on social media. We want to be held accountable for it and work with full transparency, both internally and externally.

What new developments did you present at the SBC Summit Lisbon?
We showcased a wonderful solution for federal regulation that is already ready. We did product demos, but we know it’s just the beginning of a journey that will continue. There’s also room for responsibility and innovation. So, this was what we set out to show our partners and industry contacts during the fair.
