“Cactus’ platform is ready to serve anyone who wants to operate in Brazil’s regulated market”

Cactus’ award-winning online sports betting and gaming platform, currently present in 55 countries, is more than ready for the future Brazilian regulated market. In an exclusive interview with GMB,  Business Director Tiago Silva says that this is the result of “a lot of work and investment in technology, with a focus on each jurisdiction.” The executive invites anyone looking for a complete solution to “come talk to us.”

GMB - Cactus Gaming is one of the fastest-growing Brazilian companies in the global iGaming market. What does it mean to participate in an event like the SBC Summit?
Tiago Silva – It is very important for us to be at another international event, consolidating our commitment and mission to make Cactus a global platform. We are already operating in several countries, always seeking to expand further.

Not only operating, but also winning awards. At every event, Cactus goes home with one, two, or even three trophies. What does that mean in terms of offering a consolidated platform to the end user and operators?
I often joke that we are very lucky, and luck always finds us working. There is a lot of hard work involved and a strong, solid team. This always means quality, security, and growth for the end user, whether they run a sports betting site or an online casino.

You are operating in 55 countries. How does a Brazilian company achieve such distinction in the global gaming market?
A lot of hard work and courage because we often have to make decisions to enter markets that we sometimes don’t know yet or haven’t explored. But I would say it's mainly a visionary outlook from those who created Cactus. Our intention is to keep moving forward despite the challenges we face, and Cactus does this by looking to the future.

We can’t forget that a platform needs to have the concept of localization when operating in over 55 countries. Is it important to dedicate attention to each one?
Exactly. We have an expansion department that works hard on this, taking care of everything, especially the technology side, to ensure compliance with legislation in each country, payment methods, and all necessary integrations. It’s a lot of work.

Brazil will begin regulated operations in January, with 120 companies having applied to the Ministry of Finance. What are your expectations regarding those who are already clients and those who will need an award-winning platform like Cactus’?
Our expectations are very positive, and I see regulation as a great development. It will bring significant changes to the market and make competition fairer. Most of Cactus' clients are already applying for the necessary licenses.

As a platform, Cactus is already certified and prepared. I foresee that we will experience substantial growth because finding a platform designed by Brazilians for Brazilians, with all the nuances of conversion and customization, and fully certified and regulated, is not an easy task.

I invite anyone who needs to comply with regulations to come and have a chat with Cactus and learn more about our technology. We are here, happy and ready to serve you.
