IDT-Cema takes the benefits of casinos to the Tourism Ministry and the Entrepreneurship Front

Once again, the Institute of Development, Tourism, Culture, Sports and Environment (IDT-Cema) brought discussions about the benefits of casinos for the Brazilian economy to the center of power. The president, Bruno Omori, met with the Ministry of Tourism, the National Secretariat for Tourism Policies and the Parliamentary Front for Entrepreneurship, when he highlighted that the activity can generate more than 10 million jobs and strengthen the sector.

In the hearing with the Ministry of Tourism and the National Secretariat for Tourism Policies, the President of IDT-Cema, Bruno Omori, discussed the positive impacts of Law 2,234/2022, which legalizes casinos integrated into resorts, tourist casinos and bingo halls.

Omori once again highlighted the importance of approving the law, which has the potential to generate more than 10 million jobs in tourism and for Brazilian society, demand for qualifications, and the entry of national and international investments exceeding US$ 70 billion into the macroeconomy.

We also took the opportunity to present to the authorities present the new edition of BOGEC - Brazilian Opportunities Gaming E-sports, which will take place on April 1 and 2, 2025 at Expotel, and the GAMMA World Championship Brazil 2025 with 110 countries that will take place at Wet'n Wild - São Paulo”, said Omori.

According to him, this was yet another demonstration of the importance of incorporating the issue of approving casinos in Brazil into internationally relevant events as a way of expanding knowledge about the real benefits of the activity for the economy.

 



Parliamentary Entrepreneurship Front

In addition, Bruno Omori spoke at the Parliamentary Entrepreneurship Front (FPE), composed of federal deputies and senators.

The objective was to demonstrate the convergence and opportunities for creating new points of sale and entertainment for the hotel, bar, restaurant, theme park and tourism and events production chain in Brazil, with the start of the application of the sports betting law.

We also showed that with the imminent approval of Law 2234/22 in the Senate Plenary scheduled for early November, with subsequent sanction by President Lula, we will see the entry of more than US$ 70 billion in investments, boosting tourism, destinations and generating millions of jobs and billions in taxes,” stated Omori.
