“Sportradar has big plans in Brazil and significant advantage due to its experience in the country"

Sportradar, a global leader in data technology, attended recent SBC Summit in Lisbon where its LatAm Business Director, Mateo Lenoble, talked with GMB and expressed his surprised by the number of Brazilians present. “We held many meetings with Brazilian operators and many interested in investing in the country. We are highly sought after for our local experience and with the regulation we have big plans for the future.”

GMB - How do you see the current moment in the Brazilian market, and what did Sportradar present at the SBC Summit Lisbon?
Mateo Lenoble – The event was massive, and we were surprised. Many Brazilians interested in the country's market traveled to Lisbon, where we held many meetings with partners. And not only from Brazil but also with numerous people from Europe interested in investing and starting operations in Brazil.

One of the focuses was to present risk management solutions, such as the Managed Trading Services (MTS), and an important new product, Alpha Odds, which provides optimized solutions for operators. It handles trading, mobilizing bets and odds directly for the operator, maximizing profit.

In addition, we are heavily investing in programmatic marketing products and our Oracle and NSoft platforms, which are very comprehensive and have been actively showcased in Latin America.

How has the relationship been with operators already using Sportradar's solutions, and how do you plan to approach new operators, considering the companies seeking licenses in Brazil?
Sportradar has a significant advantage due to its long experience in Latin America and Brazil, dating back to the beginning of legalization. When an operator wants to enter Brazil, they always consult us due to our expertise in tournaments, operational markets, margins, risk management, live content, digital marketing strategies, and sponsorships. We have a broad range of products that benefit the customers’ operation.

Not to mention the area of match-fixing, where Sportradar is a specialist. Is that a calling card for the company?
Yes. Sportradar has a vested interest in keeping sports clean. We need to protect this because our clients are the primary ones affected. We work directly with the Federal Police, federations, and FIFA. Through these partnerships, we can work for integrity in a wide variety of tournaments and, in this way, protect the sport, which is in everyone's interest.

What are Sportradar's plans for Brazil starting in January 2025, when the market will be regulated?
We have significant plans for the future and for Brazil. Any major company that wants to operate in Brazil will certainly think about establishing a presence there. In the coming months, we will have a lot of news and major plans for the Brazilian market.
