"Amusnet focuses on localization and will launch games with a green-yellow theme for Brazil”

The great expectation of online gaming users in Brazil is to come across titles that refer to the local culture. And this is the commitment of Amusnet, a leading developer in the segment that focuses on localization. In an exclusive interview with GMB, Marco Pequeno, country manager for Brazil, highlights that the company is aware of this and that it will soon have the green and yellow theme in its rich portfolio.

GMB – What were Amusnet’s main attractions at the SBC Summit in Lisbon?
Marco Pequeno
– We had the presence of Tiagovski, the main streamer from Portugal, and we also brought a demonstration of some of our products, as you can see on this screen, with new games, such as Orange Story Deluxe, for example, an important game with a high RTP, something that we plan to introduce in the Brazilian market.

What are the main markets and where do you intend to reach with these new products?
Our focus is always on localization, regardless of the market. Today we are talking about Brazil, but we have country managers in other Latin American countries, such as Argentina and Colombia. The focus will always be on localizing the product, service and team. In the case of Brazil, the entire team will be in the country.

The Brazilian market is about to enter the regulated format. What are Amusnet’s plans for it?
We are working to be in full compliance with the regulated market. We are already certifying our games with laboratories selected by the government and we expect to begin operating normally in January 2025.

How are Amusnet games placed on the regulated market? Directly to operators or aggregators?
We only work with direct contracts with our operators. We will not allow aggregation, and this improves performance in terms of return and compliance, making it a safer situation for everyone.

In addition to localization, is there a possibility that Amusnet will develop games with a Brazilian theme?
Yes, we are developing some things in this area. For now, it is a secret, but there will be something for Brazil, with strong cultural elements of our Brazilian culture and Brazilian characters.

Will it be a game with green and yellow?
There will be a lot of green and yellow and very strong cultural elements of our culture, as well as characters from Brazil. We have localization plans that do not only involve translation, but mainly linked to the culture and understanding of the market and the consumer. All of this is being done so that we have the best possible performance with our games.
