Future Law launches course on legal regulation of online gambling in Brazil

Future Law, an organization specializing in courses in various areas of law, has just launched a new one focused on the iGaming sector. 'Gambling Law: online gambling market and legal regulation in Brazil' will provide an overview of the topic, covering everything from how to obtain authorization to operate to responsible gambling guidelines, advertising and perspectives in the area. It is coordinated by attorney Udo Seckelmann, from Bichara e Motta.

Brazil recently organized its online gambling market. After a long period without any regulation, in a short time the country entered the TOP 5 of the most relevant markets in the world.

This enormous change opens up possibilities for action on several fronts and training is needed to understand and be relevant in this sector that generated 1% of the country's GDP in 2023.

For this reason, Future Law has just launched a course focused on the iGaming sector. "Gambling Law: online betting market and legal regulation in Brazil" will not only provide an overview of the regulation, but will also show everything from how to obtain authorization to operate to responsible gaming guidelines, advertising regulation and perspectives in the area.

Divided into six classes, scheduled to begin on November 4, the course is coordinated by attorney Udo Seckelmann, head of the gambling and crypto department at Bichara e Motta Advogados.

After the recent betting accreditation marathon, we sought out the most up-to-date professionals and most relevant players. Thinking about boosting their careers, we prepared the course "Gambling Law: online betting market and legal regulation in Brazil," highlights Future Law in the course presentation.

In a dynamic and practical way, the course will address the background of online betting, looking at the gamification of bets, then move on to the regulations that exist today, the process of obtaining authorization, the established payment rules, and practices to prevent fraud and money laundering.

The program also includes issues such as responsible gaming practices, advertising in the sector, sports integrity, compliance, tax and fiscal aspects, the legal structuring of betting platforms and economic and legal trends after regulation.

The main challenges facing ‘Bets’ (as the operators are called) will be presented by the Ocean group, which operates four betting houses in Brazil, as well as the point of view of the regulator and specialized advisors. Risks, market projections and global challenges will be discussed in the six meetings of the course.

The live online course will take place on November 4, 6, 7, 11, 13 and 18, from 7 pm to 10 pm. For more information, click here.
