Among the betting houses, EstrelaBet was in the spotlight with CBO Fellipe Fraga, moderator of a panel on the future of commercial partnerships for football in Latin America.
"Latin American football is gaining more and more visibility, reaching markets with global reach. The Copa América in the USA is an example of this, something unthinkable just a few years ago. This opens up new possibilities for clubs, athletes, sponsors and partners. Strategic partnerships will be essential to boost the growth of both clubs and brands, expanding their presence beyond regional borders," highlighted Fraga.
Another of the main bookmakers in Brazil, galera.bet, is also present at the event. The company's CEO, Marcos Sabiá, highlights the importance of meeting and interacting with other market players: "In Brazil, we are experiencing a complex scenario, with a long-time lapse since the legalization of the sector in 2018 and only now being regulated. Largely because of this, I believe that at this fair it will be possible to see how much industry executives are perceiving regulation in Brazil as a turning point for the sector,” pointed out Sabiá.
With great importance within the sector, some of the main payment institutions operating in Brazil are also highlighted at the fair. One of them is Paag, which is even competing at the event for “Payment Solution of the Year”, in the SBC Awards Latinoamérica 2024 award.
One of the exhibitors at the fair, the company is a techfin that has launched a series of products to help bets adapt to the new guidelines of the Brazilian market, including tools ranging from combating money laundering to payment solutions.
“It is an honor for us to have one of our products competing for the best payment solution of the year, especially since it is an award from such a major event for the entire sector. Paag Payments is a tool built on the expertise we have acquired over the years and which enables the secure exchange of payment information between points of sale and financial institutions,” said João Fraga, CEO of Paag.
Also a leader in the Brazilian market, PayBrokers is another company that will be highlighted at the fair, competing for two awards, in the categories “Payment Solution” and “Brazilian Supplier of the Year.”
In addition to the approximately 70 exhibitors, the fair also features more than 200 lectures by experts on a variety of topics, such as regulation, sports betting, casinos (both physical and online), lotteries and marketing, among other subjects.
Other notable speakers include René Higuita, a former Colombian goalkeeper, and Tatiana Calderón, a professional racing driver.
