Ramón Miniño, Head of Partner Management

“Galaxsys will have a unit in Brazil if the sector’s regulations require it”

In an interview with GMB at recent SBC Summit Lisbon, Ramón Miniño, head of partner management of Galaxsys, was excited about the company’s latest releases. Titles such as Hamster, Tower Rush and Atlantis were showcased during the event. Regarding Brazil, he said the company is ready for the country in partnership with local operators: “And if a local presence is required, we will do so because we are growing, and it makes sense to be there.”

GMB – What are the new features from Galaxy at SBC Summit Lisbon?
Ramón Miniño – We are presenting a new game that was launched a few weeks ago, Hamster, based on another game that came out on Telegram and went super viral. It helps the player continue playing for a long time. The player keeps winning throughout their journey. The amount of winnings depends on the bet level and the position they are playing at. If they are playing at the highest level, they can win up to 1000 times their bet, or the minimum, 0.2x. They may win less, but there are chances to win more, plus they have the option for auto bets.

The goal is to captivate the player and provide a good user experience?
Exactly. And there’s more. After 300 plays, a bonus round appears, offering free spins or a special multiplier of up to 50 times what the bettor has already won.

How is this game being delivered to operators in Latin America, especially in Brazil?
It’s going very well, and all operators already with Galaxys can launch it live. We also offer the possibility of customizing the game with the casino’s name. Moreover, if the operator has influencers or streamers and wants to run a promotion, we can work together.

Besides this game, you are also presenting instant games. How is this vertical at Galaxys?
Instant games guarantee a lot of engagement. Like other Galaxys titles, they allow players to enjoy longer while they win. Among them, we have Tower Rush, where a tower is built level by level, with the player winning at each level reached. This title is considered a crash game.

Is crash game a current trend or will it last for a long time?
I believe crash games will last for many years unless a more innovative option is launched. At Galaxys, we are committed to releasing new things. Our games are not the typical crash games, like the “airplane game.” We do have that, but we always aim to do something different.
We launched a game that I really like, Atlantis. The bubbles fall into the water, and these are the kinds of things we do that set us apart from others to attract new audiences.

Does this bring new generations to the game, as older people prefer classic slots?
Exactly. We are responsible and dedicated to offering games that cater to all age groups, always focused on local regulations, as each country has its own.

Speaking of which, how is Galaxys handling the localization of its games?
For all our clients, we aim to localize our offerings. Even down to details like words or names, just talk to us and we’ll adapt everything to your needs.

How do you distribute games to operators? Do you work directly with them or through aggregators?
Both ways. They can deal directly with us, as well as through aggregators. With the latter, it’s a bit quicker because the aggregator already has the integration. All the operator needs to do is contact that provider and add our games to their platform.

In January 2025, Brazil will begin regulated iGaming operations. How has your approach been with local operators?
We are ready for it and have been talking with our partners to ensure they comply with Brazil's regulations. It’s important for them to be prepared for this new phase. If they are regulated, Galaxys will serve them in the best possible way.

What are your expectations for this market?
There will be great competition, but I believe it will be reduced since some won’t have time to get regulated. I think some operators will merge with others, as they already have players and can expand their base by joining forces.

Does Galaxys have specific plans for the regulated Brazilian market? Do you intend to have an office in the country or develop games with Brazilian themes?
Launching games with Brazilian themes would be a pleasure. If an operator requests it, we are available to develop them. Just talk to us and we’ll create something specific. Regarding having a local presence, our legal and compliance departments are analyzing it. If required, we will do it. We are growing in Brazil, and it makes sense to have a local unit if it's a necessity.

We can’t forget that Galaxys is developing slots. When will they arrive?
We are excited about this new phase of the company. The first game will be released soon, and it will be another tool for operators to promote our games. The entire Galaxys team wants to offer something different from what’s currently in the market.

Can you reveal to GMB what the theme of the first slot will be?
The theme is Aztec, which is very hot in the gaming sector. People love this type of game and the historical period in our continent. Latin America has a strong connection to this theme. As a Latin person myself, I fully support Galaxys’ proposal.
