New controlling partner of Apostou.com

Esportes da Sorte and OnaBet are accredited by Loterj and will continue to operate in Brazil

Esportes da Sorte and OnaBet, which have not yet received a response from the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance, have joined forces with ST Soft, which operates the Apostou.com brand, and are now in good standing to continue operating in Brazil. As the new controlling partner of the company accredited in Rio de Janeiro, Esportes Gaming Brasil had its documentation analyzed and its two betting houses were authorized by the autarchy.

The authorization for Esportes da Sorte and OnaBet to obtain their licenses through Loterj was granted this Monday (7) and will be valid for five years. Nonetheless, the Esportes da Sorte Group is still awaiting a decision on its request to the SPA regarding the review of its documentation by the Ministry of Finance.

In its appeal to the SPA, the Group claims to have complied with "all the legal and regulatory procedures established by law and its respective decrees" and continues to wait for a favorable decision.

Even before the Ministry's decision, the company took the lead and acquired the majority shareholding of ST Soft Desenvolvimento de Programas de Computadores Ltda, the holder of the Apostou.com brand, which has been licensed by Loterj since last year. As a result, all documentation was reviewed by the regulatory body in Rio de Janeiro, and ST Soft requested the replacement of its previous domain (rj.apostou.com) with the new domains esportesdasorte.com and onabet.com.

After reviewing the documentation, Loterj confirmed that the company met all legal requirements, including legal capacity, fiscal and labor regularity, economic and financial qualification, technical qualifications, and the necessary certificates of good standing.

Following approval by Loterj, the agency informed the Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the licensing, but so far, the SPA has not updated its list of 'Bets' (as the operators are called in Brazil) authorized by Loterj.

In an official statement, the Esportes da Sorte Group reaffirmed its commitment to sector regulation, responsible gambling, and the defense of a legal and trustworthy market to meet the interests of bettors.

On Monday (7) evening, Esportes da Sorte published an official statement on its social media confirming its operational authorization, validated by Loterj.

The updated list of brands licensed by Loterj includes:

- bestbet.com.br

- betvip.com

- caesarsports.com.br

- esportesdasorte.com

- ganhabet.com

- lotolegal.com

- marjosports.com.br

- onabet.com

- pixbet.com

- pixhora.com

- riojogos.com

- vaidebet.com
