GMB – What is the significance of a Brazilian company like NGX participating in a European trade show, such as SBC Summit Lisbon?
Alexandre Tauszig – NGX started its trade show participation project last semester at BiS SiGMA. From now on, we've decided to attend several events, expanding our international presence. We took part in SBC Lisbon and will be at SBC Latin America in Miami at the end of October. We're already preparing to attend ICE Barcelona, SBC Rio, and BiS SiGMA Americas in São Paulo. The importance of this is to show not only Brazil but the world who NGX is and how prepared we are for the regulated market.
There are 120 companies that have applied for a license from the Ministry of Finance to operate from January 2025. Is the NGX platform ready for this regulated market?
Yes, the NGX platform is 100% ready for the regulated market. Your question was great because this is a situation we're encountering frequently at this fair. The Brazilian regulation is very strong. Congratulations to the Ministry for doing an excellent job of raising the bar in Brazil. But what's happening? Many platforms are struggling to prepare for Brazil and won't be certified in time for the regulated market. As a result, we've gained many clients who approach us, even here at the fair, saying, "I'm having issues with my platform." So, we embrace them and offer our solutions because NGX is ready for the market, and we will have several clients with us next year.
How did NGX manage to reach this point, considering it's a new company in the market, while other global players have had their platforms certified in the most regulated jurisdictions in the world for quite some time?
The main point is that Brazil is, as I mentioned, raising the bar with extremely strong regulation, demanding a lot from both clients and platforms—things that some countries might not even require. For example, there are clients using platforms certified with GLI 33 and GLI 19, but that's not enough for Brazil. There are many additional requirements for a platform to be fit for the Brazilian market.
What's NGX's advantage? Our development team is entirely Brazilian, and we also have Brazilians working on technology in various countries. It's not just about language and culture, but also about understanding the legislation and regulatory demands. This helps us a lot. So much so that NGX already operates in three regulated lotteries in Brazil: Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, and Paraíba. We've gone through certification processes with NGX in all these states, which gives us a clear understanding of the type of testing scenarios the government puts us through.
Given all this, what are the plans for 2025, considering that NGX is already more than technically prepared?
In 2025, NGX aims to establish itself as one of the largest, if not the largest, platforms for gaming in the Brazilian regulated market. That’s our big goal for next year. To achieve this, we’ll be participating in several trade shows, and we are open and ready to assist anyone who is seeking a platform or facing challenges. Feel free to reach out to us.
