ANJL statement:
In his decision, Fux established that:
1) inspection and monitoring actions against advertising aimed at children and adolescents be immediately implemented; and
2) the Ministry of Finance implement measures to prevent the use of resources from social programs such as Bolsa Família and the Continuous Benefit Payment (BPC) in betting.
ANJL emphasizes that both measures have already been advocated by betting houses that are undergoing the regulatory process in the country.
Unlike companies that intend to remain outside the law after 2025, the so-called 'Bets' committed to fair and responsible gaming, including ANJL members, do not agree with the promotion of bets to minors or the use of resources that have the potential to financially harm the most vulnerable Brazilian families.
Finally, the association reiterates that it is in the interest of the market and its members to regulate the sector, and Minister Fux's measure is an important step forward. ANJL will always be open to dialogue to contribute to a solid and responsible market.
