GMB – What did Alea bring to SBC Latinoamérica 2024?
Lucas Lebleu - Our main focus was to strengthen Alea's positioning in the Latin American market and in Brazil, since it was really the last major event of the year for Latin America. We will then continue with our presence at SiGMA Malta and, finally, we will also be at iGaming Next and GAT, in Cancun, Mexico to end the year.
But as for Latin America itself, as a group of countries, this is the last major event of the year and we wanted to be present for all the operators and suppliers who come to visit the fair.
How does Alea see the Latin American market today and how do you intend to take advantage of this context?
We are in the midst of developing events. I believe that there are a series of events in both Brazil and Peru that we are still adapting to, the conditions, the certifications and so on. Therefore, these last 3 months of the year will be very intense.
Internally, the company is working hard to open its branch in Brazil and have a local presence, and doing everything that involves certifications with suppliers in our aggregator, so that we can continue offering the service in the regulated market in Brazil from January. We are taking all the necessary steps to do so, as we have already done in Peru.
Are the plans for Brazil, which is currently experiencing its best moment, to open an office and penetrate this market even further?
That's right. We are also signing a series of very important contracts, of great significance to us, with several large international platforms.
I think that 2025 will start well for Alea and the Brazilian market, not to mention some surprises that we will also have from approximately the first quarter, or early second quarter of 2025, which we will certainly announce at ICE in Barcelona in January.
What is Alea's assessment for 2024?
For Alea, 2024 was exceptional. We received several important awards, the most recent in Lisbon, where we were recognized as the Best Gaming Platform. This year represented the culmination of a very intense period of development and growth, both in terms of expanding the team and increasing the volume of transactions and reaching new countries. It was a year of great achievements, and we are confident that 2025, if not as extraordinary, will be even better, with new opportunities and challenges.
Did Alea also receive a nomination for Best Employer of the Year at the SBC Awards?
Yes, we were also nominated for Best Employer, which is very important for us at Alea.
