GMB – What have been Weebet’s major advancements in 2024?
Thiago Faustino – This year has been one of many changes, especially with the federal government's regulation. In 2024, it was a year of adjustments, where we met all the requirements that the government demands, in accordance with Ordinance 722, along with certifying bodies, to serve the entire national market and ensure that our operators can work in compliance with regulations.
The regulation in Brazil has introduced a series of demands and specific rules. Does this make Weebet prepared for the international market, given that many of these requirements aren't even imposed in other countries?
I agree with you, and would say yes. The government is incorporating the main best practices in responsible gaming and KYC. We are ahead in relation to regulated markets worldwide.
Weebet has carried out numerous integrations, and one of the most recent ones is with Air Dice. What does it mean for the company to offer slightly different games for the Brazilian audience, based on data?
That's right. Air Dice is a great partner with whom we are starting this collaboration. We are delighted because we are bringing innovation with games that differ from what the market is used to. They show great promise, and I am sure they will appeal to users, just as Air Dice is already successful with the Brazilian audience.
With the platform fully adapted to the new regulations, what are the plans for 2025, the year regulation takes full effect?
Our main focus will be to provide full support to our operators so they are compliant with the regulated market, with innovation, technology, best practices in responsible gaming, and data management, which are essential for operators’ decision-making.
We are also planning to expand into other Latin American markets and, who knows, even to other continents.
So, this isn't just an idea but a plan under consideration?
We are working on this to serve other regulated markets, always thinking about the best approach for each operator in their respective market, as we know that each jurisdiction has its unique characteristics.
How can a Brazilian platform be offered in the international market from a technical standpoint?
As you mentioned, technically, anyone who works in the Brazilian market can operate in any market worldwide due to the local challenges and technical requirements. What do we need to do? Understanding the culture of the target country will be crucial, including details like the most popular sports, preferred types of games, and interfaces tailored to the local audience.
