“Paag has the best payment solutions and we have evolved to meet the needs of operators”

Paag, one of the most complete companies offering onboarding solutions and payment methods in iGaming, is more than consolidated in Brazil. As revealed in an interview with GMB by its technology director, Bruno Fraga, it is always evolving its tools to meet the needs of operators. “The product is never ready. We are constantly introducing new features that aim to further improve the performance of players in the country.”

GMB – As a company already established in the market as one of the most important payment transaction providers, what new developments does Paag have?
Bruno Fraga – As you mentioned, Paag is already well established as a payment method. Today, we are focused on becoming a “one-stop shop” company for operations in Brazil, especially targeting the regulated market. This includes compliance support, transaction security, and offering a fantastic service called PagID. It provides an easy way for players to complete their initial registration on the platform and use this registration in other opportunities.

Was that the goal of Paag’s participation in the recent SBC Summit Latin America, to showcase these tools to the entire region?
Exactly. We have been working hard to develop these products. The team is very engaged, and we believe we have fantastic solutions for Brazilian operators, especially during this transition and pre-regulation phase, where we can serve them with high security.

Does participating in an international trade show also demonstrate Paag’s focus on exploring new markets?
Absolutely. Our plan is to establish ourselves in the Brazilian market as one of the key players in this segment, covering the entire initial player onboarding and payment processes. But, of course, we also have a plan to explore new Latin American markets.

There is a long list of pre-authorized companies expected to operate by the end of the year. With the start of the officially regulated market, what are your expectations regarding the number of Paag’s clients who will receive final authorization?
We are closely monitoring the list of applicants. Today, we already serve many of these clients who have submitted their requests. We understand that there will indeed be a cut-off by the end of the year in this initial review period. However, I believe that everyone is very well prepared, and having Paag as a partner further facilitates this process.

Is Paag fully prepared in terms of the regulations concerning "know your customer" and payment transactions?
Everything is certified and ready. We have incredible solutions for operators, including features for transactional and operational accounts, which greatly simplify operators' processes.

Do operators already view Paag as a fully established partner?
Absolutely. We have positioned ourselves as a partner to the operators. One very important thing is that we are here to welcome them and address all their demands. We evolve our products in a highly receptive way, based on feedback from our partners.

With the beginning of regulated operations, do you think there will be a need for improvements or adjustments to Paag’s platform, or is it already aligned with the rules?
We are 100% compliant with the rules that have been set and are a step ahead, providing additional information and new integrations with platforms to assist operators. However, the product is never truly finished. We are always evolving, developing solutions that aim to further enhance the operations of Brazilian operators.
