GMB – How is business going, and which regions is Vibra most active in within the Latin American market?
Ramiro Atucha – We are in a very stressful period at Vibra because the regulatory deadlines in various markets are approaching. There is a lot of work to comply with everything, and last-minute changes always happen, which keeps us highly alert to make sure things go smoothly.
We specialize in supporting operators in markets going through regulatory processes. Our technology is fully certified by GLI, and we are making all necessary adaptations. We are actively working in markets like Brazil, Peru, the Dominican Republic, and Argentina, always paying close attention to regulatory issues and assisting operators. Many times, these operators have less experience dealing with regulations and certifications, so we ensure everything runs correctly.
You mentioned Peru, the Dominican Republic, and Brazil. Are there significant differences from a regulatory standpoint in each of these jurisdictions?
Each jurisdiction has its particularities. We start with a solid foundation, which is our GLI certification, and we are now moving forward with ISO 27001 certification, which is also crucial. However, there are always specific requirements that demand additional work and understanding. I see this as an opportunity to raise the standard and improve our products.
And commercially, how has the market performed for Vibra Gaming and Vibra Solutions throughout 2024?
Very well, with substantial growth. I believe the Latin American market needed local suppliers who are close and present, and that has helped us a lot. We are making an effort to stay close, and we have closed many deals. We are growing significantly and trying to manage this growth effectively by bringing on new people and handling their learning curves.
How is the lottery division of the Vibra Group, which operates in the Brazilian market?
It is doing very well. We have video lottery terminals (VLTs) not only in Brazil but also in projects in Mexico, Peru, and the Dominican Republic. We are working with state lotteries in Brazil and are live with many terminals in Paraíba, and just a few weeks ago, we launched terminals in Maranhão. We are growing and constantly improving the product based on feedback from operators and players. One advantage we have is that the entire product was developed in-house, which allows us to adjust and modifications directly to the technology as we receive feedback.
For Brazil, the largest market in Latin America, what are Vibra Group's plans for 2025?
We plan to continue supporting regulated operators, those seeking licenses, and those exiting regulation. We aim to assist with this transition, whether through mergers or helping redirect traffic to licensed operators. We are closely monitoring regulatory changes and staying alert to see what requirements will be imposed on suppliers, working to comply with all of them.
